    Default favorite kick

As the title says I would like to know what in general what is considered to be the favorite kick(s) that u learned during your taekwondo trainings. If possible a top 3 would be nice.
It doesn't necessarly be the one that u use the most or is the most effective, but more like the one when u were thinking:" wow this kick is just....

I'll give the right example by starting. My favorite kicks at the moment are:

1)filipinni also know as tornado kick.

2)tio dwit chagi("back rear horse kick")

3)tio mom dollyo("back spinning heel kick")
Although I must say they are all very close

I'm still pretty new to TKD and so I won't go for a full top three (to be fair I can only perform five with any particular skill). However, I do love axe kicks. When executed properly it both looks and feels great.

    Thanks

In no particular order: Hook kick, round kick and inner crescent kick. I really like the inner crescent because it can be used in close and your opponent doesn't usually see it coming. Give a flurry of punches and quickly step back slightly and deliver an inner crescent. 75% of the time it works every time.

I am not in Tae Kwon Do but I like where this thread is going. If you don't mind I'll throw my two bits in as well. The 3 kicks I learned in my training that made me go and not necessarily the most effective would be:
    1) Tiger Tail Kick (sweeping hook kick to both legs at same time)
    2) Spinning Back Kick
    3) Spinning Axe Kick
    Cheers!

    In no particular order:

    1. Front Snap Kick
    2. Front Pushing Kick
    3. Front Thrust Kick
    4. Roundhouse Kick
    5. Side Thrust Kick

I'm not as fast on the turning kicks as I used to be. Might work on them more this new year.

I prefer the good old side kick, front kick, and then the spinning hook.

    # 1 I am a big fan of the front snap kick to the solar plexus or short ribs. It has both speed and power and can shoot in under your opponents defenses or can stop his attack in it's tracks.

#2 I love a jumping back kick as a defensive tool or to finalize my attack.

    # 3 Even though I use my roundhouse most often I think the good old fashioned side kick is not used enough these days. If you haven't been turned into a flying C by a good side kick you haven't trained long enough.

    Respectfully,
    Anthony B. Monti
