CNN Commentary - Broken Promises
Old news about Senator Obama going back on his word to accept public financing of his campaign, but this is a commentary from CNN (of all places) and it's pretty strong.

This bothers me. A direct statement made to the American people and he doesn't care at all that he lied. Unfortunately, none of his supporters seem to care at all either. If you allow someone to lie to you and then go ahead and vote them into office, you deserve exactly what you get. Which is, someone who will lie to you whenever they feel like it in order to get what they want.

Good point Jason. Unfortunately, when you have a politician that feels that he/she can lie and get away with it, then how much can we trust him or her in the future? Remember, according to Senator Obama, no one making under $250,000 will receive a tax increase. However, we have seen that number fluctuate over the past couple of days to $200,000 and from Senator Biden, it's now $150,000. So which is it, or is he going to pull a Clinton (who campaigned on a middle-class tax cut) and change his mind once he gets into office by claiming that things were much worse than he realized?

Bravo, Campbell Brown. I had to do a double take on who was reporting and on what station she was being broadcast.

Text in bold is Hyperbole to make a point.
IMHO, Barrack Obama could be caught on tape raping a nun and there are people who would still cast their vote for him.
For many people, it is not about the facts, the truth or reality they just want to believe everything Obama says. The problem is I'm at the point where if he said it was noon I'd have to go to the window to check out if the moon and stars were shining.
Peace

I know that this is old news but I am still stuck on the statements he made when running for senate in the first place that no first term senator would be experienced enough to run for president so that there was no way he would be running. He knew it then and probably knows it now but he broke his word anyways. It seems to be a pattern with him.

Prediction:
If he gets elected, he will suddenly discover that we are in a worse financial mess and he can't afford the tax break and will in fact have to raise our taxes.

Hate to say it, but he would also be pulling a Bush I too - "Read my lips - no new taxes!"
Dennis, if he raped a nun, the press would investigate that nun, only to find out that she could not take communion once because she was unconscious in the hospital - which means she is not REALLY a Catholic (and thus not a nun) - and they will uncover that she had a relative (like her MOTHER) who had sex once, which of course means that there is a pattern of deviant sexual behavior in her family, which of course means that she somehow coerced or forced him into doing the dastardly act....which of course means it is HER fault.
Isn't that how it works? (Wow, I AM becoming a bitter cynic!)
