LOL..he hasn't metioned anything about training but I've known him for a long time and I can put money on the fact that somewhere later at night he is holing himself up by himself and knocking out a ton of push ups and sit ups followed by about 500 to a 1000 kicks...that is just who he is...

Thanks for the update on Hal. I was very unhappy when he said he was going but I've not heard much since he went. I feel a little better because it seems the place is getting back in "control". Please keep us up to date.

I wish I could say time I were coming home for good ,But not yet I will be home for a few weeks RR and then back to the sandbox .
This is the first time in over 40 years I have not had to step on the mat as a Student or as an instructor ,I have picked up some arabic language the best one is "Go ahead and grab my wrist"
It is was 120 in the shade yesterday at 11:00 am in the morning Too hot .The one thing I have learned is I will never look at a roasted turkey the same ,I know his pain we are on the slow cook plan
I would like to thank My friends whom have tried to stay in touch ,sometimes after 12 hours a day 7 days a week the days blend as I am not sure what day or month it is

Hey Mike! No, did not moved to my home country.
I am still hanging around, a lot of traveling during the last 14 months. Went to Colombia for couple of months, then Canada then Indiana, New York and some other crazy spots on earth. But thanks God I am still in the life game
Glad to hear from you brother!Fabian Duque

Well I made it through 21 months of Iraq and it feels great to wake up at home , Now I am getting ready my next journey this time not back too Iraq ,but up north too Afghanistan it is more dangerous and I will be overseeing the Electrical construction as a technical inspector . It is a one year contract as was the last one that I extended for an additional year.
I have not given up my Hapkido as now I am able to work on me instead of the students ,even though this is a temporary assignment .My family knows I will head back too Korea for several months before coming home to teach . As My Master says to re-center my spirit and touch my roots and put my mind back in the Mode......HAPKI........

Hal, glad you made it back in one piece. Your a glutton for punishment I guess, now going into the Lions Den (Afghanistan). Just hope that your not "poking the bear" with this trip. Just remember the old saying..........."Don't go tap dancing in a mine field". Wishing you well and a safe deployment.

Well it is not the Ritz but I am sleeping in a 125 man tent of with "NEW" Friends and such. the mountain view's are beautiful 360 degree panoramic view .I will only be here for a short time while training for my new mission . Then off to the next base as an Electrical Inspector insuring safe wiring is being used and adhered too for the safety of our troops
