I'm a former Hwarang Do student. I'm not going back to Lee--I don't care about politics, I'm just not interested in a contract that forbids me from studying any other martial art. I've been talking to one of Lee's former students, Michael De Alba, about joining his group. Apparently, it's similar enough to Hwarang Do that there have been legal issues (which appear to have been resolved).

However, I've been looking at the available media (YouTube videos, and his recently published .pdf White Belt Manual), and the techniques look kinda sloppy. I know De Alba was a seventh dahn when he left--is this just sloppy photography? Does anyone here actually have experience with this group?
