Newbie
Hi all,
New to the site!
I'm planning my return to Judo and JuJitsu (plus introduction to BJJ) in the next 6 months. I had knee surgery (Fulkerson) 5 months ago and am still healing up.
I trained Judo and JuJitsu (Shingitai) under Dr. Ronald Conn in Cincinnati, OH about 8 years ago. Currently, I am in Colorado Springs scoping out the local schools.

Welcome. I'm new here too. I had a double hernia surgery back in May and am just now starting to heal up enough to really train. Good luck!

Well - Just got released by the Dr today, not restrictions.
NOW I am nervous. Do I head back to Judo/BJJ, etc, right away, or do I still give it some time?
YIKES.

Welcome and the best of luck to you. I don't blame you for being a little hesitant.

Welcome to Budoseek....nice to have another Judoka. on board.
I used to live in Colorado Springs (Oct 96 through Feb 99) while stationed at Schreiver AFB (formerly known as Falcon AFS). If you need any help locating clubs/dojos, there are plenty of folks on here that can assist.
Depending on how you feel and how your cardio is at this point, you might want to take things slow at first. The altitude change from OH to CO can take anywhere from 2 to 6 months to get used to.Mike Wills

I just noticed that you were in CO Springs. I live in Canon City about 45 miles south of you. If you need any help finding a place to train, give me a yell. I know a couple of people up there who can probably head you in the right direction.

Welcome Jason. I'm ion the Greater Cincinati area. I'm not familiar with your former instructor. Was that perhaps in the club/dojo down on Red Bank Rd.?

I used to live at Quail Cove Apartments right by Quail Lake between Nevada and Venetucci. I rember trying to do my 5k run when I first got out there...only made it to 1 mile before I was dizzy and puking. I was in the habit of sucking down water, but I wound up having to almost tripling my water intake when I was out there.

I go by there once in a while (to Shooter's Supply just up the road. I've seen the school there but have never stopped by. Called Five White Tigers, I believe?

I really don't have any idea. I haven't been there for 10 years or so. I think its a strictly TKD school now from what I've heard.
