    In the immortal words of Mr. Miyagi: "You learn from book?"
    I prefer to strive in bravery with the bravest, rather than in wealth with the wealthiest, or in greed with the greediest. Plutarch c. 46-120

    For every one-hundred men in battle;
    Eighty should never be there;
    Ten are nothing more than targets;
    Nine are good soldiers; Ah but the one;
    One is a Warrior and he will lead the others home.

    Really, if you thought that guy was a nut case you have not been on the internet as long as I have.

    Here is a guy that trains off of youtube videos from a nutcase in Texas.

    http://www.youtube.com/user/MOUNTAIN.../6/QZrJWma5I0I

    Some of us have had a few good laughs over the videos he posts, but we seriously fear that we will someday hear of him going on a shooting rampage.

    Seriously, look at this guy,

    Hehe, ol' Ralph is indeed inspiring. Rambo's my hero too though, so I can't be too critical. Love the orange-tipped toy guns and Vietnam-era getup!

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Ninjutsu" or 'Ninjitsu" a red flag in itself? Seems like anyone not saying 'Ninpo' (as in one of the X-Kans) before was considered an absolute flake. Yet I see more and more 'Ninjitsu' on this forum.

    I wouldn't say this is the only reason people laugh at "Ninjutsu" in MA. I've seen just as bad technique from people that were legit over the years..many of who were Godan and above..

    To be fair, many were Toshindo, so I guess "legit" is a loose term.

    He has over 150 videos on youtube. Do you think that people put that much effort into a joke without revealing it?

    I know. It is hard to believe that someone could be so.... like him. It is easier to think this is a joke that some take seriously like realultimatepower.com. However, this guy honestly can't see the problems with what he does.

    Jason Stork seems to be serious and not trying to play a joke.

    This guy I still don't know if he is serious or is something cooked up by the Jerry Springer show.

    That wasn't meant literally. It was meant in the same vein as when people say "I can't believe such and such", or "you're kidding me!" I didn't bother counting the number of videos the fool had on YouTube.

    Sorry. There are sites like realultimatepower that are supposed to be parody, but treated seriously by some. It really is hard to tell what is supposed to be funny.

    It's actually really sad about Toshindo. I heard Hayes actually used to be pretty talented. But then he got more concerned about his image and bank account than actually teaching people. I know a bunch of people who left the organization because they weren't getting any training.

    Me and some friends have actually talked about creating a completely fake martial art and uploading some horrible videos just to see how many folks would actually think it's real.

    I think it has been done before.

    IIRC, there was something on line about using the martial arts of aliens learned while the teacher was abducted by UFOs. It caused some chuckles on a board I was reading. But someone in the area decided to go to the rec center it was supposably taught at and the staff had never heard of it. So it looks like someone beat you to the punch.

    There was that guy in the US somewhere, that had awful videos of him, together with strange women in bathing suits and men in fake beards. It also featured his love for country music and seemed to be filmed in a shed at the bottom of his garden. It was discussed some years back on E-Budo but I can't find it.

    For an alternative fake art, see this old E-Budo thread where people put forward increasingly bizarre plans for world domination. Sadly, some of it is all too familiar from the Real World.

    Well this guy is not the most elegant or gracious swordsman, but I'll atleast give him credit for having a go. I'm sure it would be safe to say that all those people who have responded to this thread with negative critisism, mockery and insult were not experts the first time they picked up a weapon and engaged in a routine, and I may be jumping to conclusions, but he is probably more adept than some of you even are now.
    As for this man being the reason why ninjitsu is a dirty word in MA, I'm not so sure. Ninjitsu, aswell as all arts, have a share of beginners and those who may not have the physical prowess of the masterers yet, and not being a master or an expert in weapon handling skills does not reflect on the art, ryu, sport or otherwise, that a student is practicing.
    Likewise, I am not sure if the actions of one who indulges in mockery and put-downs of those who may or may not yet be as skilled as others, reflects badly on the art they practice, but to me it certainly says something about the character of the individual who does this.
    I can only guess at the motivations and intent of people who ridicule others who are genuinly having a go at something, but as very few of you actually directed your comments to the guy in the video, only posting them here where he will maybe not read them, I guess your criticism was not for the benefit of who it should of been.

    BEWARE OF GOSSIP - To speak this and that about other people's affairs is a big mistake. Even words of praise is not becoming. One should be clearly aware of one's own capacity, giving ones best to one's own practice while keeping guard over one's mouth. Hagakure 2:104

    Having a go while never having been trained? Pretty much everything else in your post is worth ignoring. The only sort I can see defending this type of nonsense is someone in the same playing field.
