That's because TSA, like many agencies, has a defective hiring practice, thus incompetent personnel who in turn depend way too much on technology and do not have one iota of common sense.
The agency could work, but they need to be revamped from the ground up."I don't lift, too heavy. I don't run, too far. I just hit people.

Yep, the TSA is on the ball in Chicago! They did an invasive search on a three-year old boy... in a wheelchair. Yet in the article, it talks about a program that allows individuals to by-pass the majority of the screening process, for $100. Just shows where the priorities really are.

The TSA in Wichita decides that the 4 year old little girl was a "high security threat" and her Grandmother had passed her a gun.
God help us with these idiots on the front lines.

More outrages from the TSA. This time they open a container marked "Human Remains" and spill them all over the floor. Not only does this violate their own policy, but the TSA agent that did it had the gull to laugh about it.

Yep... violated their own written policy... big shocker.
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtrav...rial_1296.shtm
I got lucky a couple of years ago when my dad was going to take my step-mom's ashes to Mexico & put her in the Carib. They looked at the container in my bag (going through the XRay) & I said "ashes". They saw the label on the container from the crematorium & took the container out of my bag & re-ran through the XRay machine sitting on top of a dime. When they saw the dime shining through it, they handed it back very carefully & expressed condolences to my dad.
In Mexico, the girl at the customs check point looked at it, called her supervisor & sent us to an examination table. She took one look at the container & wished my dad condolences as well.
We got lucky that no dipshit was working on either side of the flight. I would've gone to jail if anything otherwise had happened I think.Message: Due to the ongoing Recession, God has decided the light at the end of the tunnel will be shut off due to power costs. That is all.

I traveled again, I am always asked to go through the scanners. Only once since they have been implemented have I been asked to go through a metal detector, they were offline.
This time my wife picked up our bags while some guy felt me up. This was apparently unacceptable so I was taken to a small room in the back asked quite rudely asked who had my bags, why they were taken, and some other stupid questions. I told them who had them and pointed to my bags on the bench before I was patted down the first time. Another loser felt me up and made a point to tell me that the small wipe he ran through a machine picked up bomb residue, then a third was going to search me. I declined. They threatened to call the supervisor. I said it sounded like a good idea and suggested we call the police and natioal guard too, then they let me go. Just a bunch of beep beep beeps.
On the way back I was felt up but otherwise treated pleasantly.
I wish they would ask our less than wonderful politicians at debates why we have to go through this.

The stupid turds that work for TSA seem to be going out of their way to maintain the farce of security at our airports. Searching 12 year old girls with bone disorders and in a wheelchair is not about making us safe, it's about "security theater".

I'm finally home. I have been traveling a lot lately. I hope to stay home for a while. I've been flying on business off and on since 87. Never had problems with security.
I have not been patted down yet. I doubt it would bother me much anymore. When you get my age you cannot go to the doctor without getting a finger up the butt from somebody in a white coat.Nastiness Prime Soke, Honey Badger Kung Fu
