Katsuya Miyahira, Sensei has died.
Katsuya Miyahira Sensei of Shorin Ryu Shidokan has passed on 11/28/10.
Miyahira sensei was one of Chibana's senior students before starting his own association after Chibana's passing. We trained under his lineage for ten years. I got train with him once back in '96 when he came to the U.S. He was 92."I don't lift, too heavy. I don't run, too far. I just hit people.

Very sad news Tony. My condolences to his family, students and friends. He really cast a wide shadow in the world of Okinawan Karate, and his legacy will live on in the many students he trained.
