Video taken of Jujutsu progam I put on for a local University
Hello all
Just thought I would share this video taken at a local University where I hosted a Jujutsu program. Before any of you watch this I will say some of the techniques chosen or executed were done so they would show up well on camera.
Such as In the case of the second roll over I would have normally finished with a circle choke but the uninformed wouldn't be able to see that.
During Harai Goshi ..I executed an Atemi prior to the throw but you cannot see it due to the cameras angle. I also threw one prior to the Ude Garami, against the straight knife thrust, that leads into a throw but perhaps I should have made it more emphasized for the camera.
Anyway take a look and see what you think..your feed back is welcome

Cool, Glenn!
An idea for you - when you're rolling the guy off of you (you're mounted), I didn't see a hand/wrist grab and an ankle/knee/shin block. Not sure if they're there or not - I just couldn't tell.
Having been mounted many, many, times (and been punished underneath until I figured out how to escape) I've found that trapping the hand and foot in the direction I'm going to roll are really important. Perhaps you may wish to call some attention to those details next time you make an instruction video. Just a thought (meant as a very friendly, supportive 2 cents).I realize you think you understand what you thought I said, but what I am not so sure about is whether what you think you heard is what I think I meant.

Hi Erik
Yes in the second rollover I did exactly that..you just cant see it from the angle it was shot from. The video was meant to be merely demonstrative not instructional but I appreciate your input.
The first example is from someone with little or no training on top of you in a high mount throwing strikes and taking advantage of their high center of gravity driving them forward with the knee so they have to put their hands down catch themselves and rolling them over with your bodies momentum as they are reaching out to catch themselves.
Again thank you for watching and I do appreciate everyones inputSincerely
