I have to admit that I was a little surprised that Deep Purple was beaten by Brucie Springsteen. Ack!

Oh well, standby for posting of Round Three videos later tonight. In the second round, I was careful to NOT use the same videos from the first round, but that might prove a bit challenging since good quality live performance videos can be hard to come by. If for some reason you can point me at a different higher quality video than the ones I post, please let me know. I want to make sure that all bands/artists get a fair shake.
Oh and for you folks that didn't vote for Deep Purple, Mark and I are plotting our revenge.

It's good to see you and Robert are taking this so well!

I like Deep Purple, but I especially like their earliest stuff. I think The Book of Taliesyn was their high-water mark. I don't care for Springsteen's politics, but if I only listened to musicians who shared my political views, I'd pretty much be limited to listening to Ted Nugent, although I'm a fan of Nugent's music, too.
Springsteen is a seminal performer, who has turned out a solid body of work over several decades - he is a consummate story-teller, and his songs are Americana. What Happened to Harley Hall?
