Kukkiwon Instructor training
Myself and another 4th Dan are considering attending the instructor’s seminar at the Kukkiwon in the summer of 2012. Just wondering if anyone has attended this training event in the past and has any feedback.
Thanks for the info in advance

Too bad I just found this post and you may already be at the seminar. I took the course a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it. I don't know how I could have managed if I didn't have friends in Korea to help me find a hotel etc. A few people working in hotels and stores speak English pretty well, but very many do not. I got a lot of use out of the 100 or so words I know in Korean.
While you are at the course, try to stay out of trouble just like one does at any taekwondo event: Dress like everyone else and never, never be the last person to line up or walk through a door. Most instructors were very nice, polite, and helpful. There was one who seemed to feel like he needed to play the bad guy and yell at us a lot.
All of the students I took it with were great and I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world who practice taekwondo.
The food was ok. We ate lunch at the Kukkiwon each day and I wish I had known in advance that the thing that looked like yogurt/catsup was salad dressing.
There were a few Americans that I met at the course who absolutely hated it. I can't remember what their problem was. I think it was the excessive amount of technical difficulties involved every time a lecture involved a power point presentation. Or maybe these people made the mistake of showing up late once or wearing a jacket over their dobok when no one else was and got chewed out. I don't remember.
But, I loved it and will go again some day.
