Unlikely for me, as the gun and off-hand are on different lateral planes. It's for distance, not for grabbing and squeezing. That sort of activity should have been left back in the bedroom. But, you could maintain a tight Weaver if you prefer, just as good. Or don't flinchI wouldn't recommend it. Good way to shoot your own hand during a flinch response. If you happen to come upon someone and you grab or squeeze with your extended hand sympathetic reaction may cause you to squeeze the trigger.
Well Tony, that isn't so much a modified version as it is an entirely different stance. It isn't isoceles nor is the pistol extended. If an autoloading pistol is "tucked into your sternum" the possibility exists that the slide could strike your sternum and short-cycle after your first shot, promptly jamming.Actually you can in a modified version of this. With the both hands and the weapon tucked into your sternum, pistol parallel to the ground.Last edited by David Craik; 05-01-2011 at 09:23.

You can't quote me too quick after I just posted...you may be quoting phantom words. Patience, grasshopper. The old mind don't work so quickly anymore...

We must have a different definition of "tucked in" then. My PT-92 throws the slide back at least an inch past the beavertail, with recoil the back edge of the slide would go even further because the pistol itself will be driven back.Nope, never gets that close.Last edited by David Craik; 05-01-2011 at 12:01.

Old mind? Sheesh, you're younger than I am.
Well, we're going have to go over some of this over some stogies. We must have a different definition of "tucked in" then. My PT-92 throws the slide back at least an inch past the beavertail, with recoil the back edge of the slide would go even further because the pistol itself will be driven back.
