Bonus points if you can spot my partner's flub.... I am not going to let him live that down, not after all the training and what he did to my right leg...

Ummm, 3.35? Scraped up the inside of your leg as he pushed you into a forward roll?

I like this game, but I'm useless at it .

Good stuff Russ! As far as the flub, I would say what David said, but there were a few other things that looked "off" that might have been it. All in all, good demo!

There were a lot of little "off" things, 90% of them chocked up to nerves in front of a crowd and not being confident. I was compensating for him as you can tell here...prompting the speaker (Ishida sensei) to say that Ukemi was for escaping (which it is....but it also makes another person look good).

The absolute flub was the miss with the stick. He's supposed to go between the legs with it, he went outside and I had to save him some face and dance for him. That's what big brothers are for, I guess. Anyway...this is what he did to my leg (see attached). He missed it completely after all that work and suffering. DARNIT!

    Very nice video!

Can you explain the stance that uke goes into, after the technique has been applied. After whatever technique is applied, uke gets up, puts his right hand on his hip, his left foot forward and he leans in slightly, with the left hand down. Many times uke starts this way as well.

I have not seen that stance before and don't quite understand it. Any info on it that you could share with me would be appreciated.
