    Default my own rapture

Almost had my own last night coming back from boxing class. A transport changed into my lane on the highway, clipped my left rear, I spun out in front of him, he hit me again right on the driver's door.

After his investigation I heard the police officer telling him he was at fault, he told me though because he didn't have a witness he couldn't lay charges.

Hey buddy, sorry to hear about your close call, but like Brian said, I'm glad you're not injured. That clown did considerable damage to your vehicle though. Hopefully your insurance will cover it without any problems.

P.S. You'll have to fill me in on your boxing class on another thread. That's the one martial discipline I have a little skill in.

A little late on this Mark, but glad that you are okay.

So they cannot charge the guy without a witness? That's stupid. What's the point of an investigation then? Using that logic, I assume that murder is now okay in Canada as long as there are not witnesses?

Glad to hear you are safe.

So, let me get this straight. The police can't charge him because of the higher standard that a court of law has, but the insurance companies will talk it out and find him at fault and not raise your rates? Is that correct?
Guns don't kill people. Husbands that come home early kill people.

I don't understand it either, I heard the LEO say the truck driver is at fault, he even told him exactly what happened , pointed out the fresh damage on his right bumper. He admitted he was changing lanes, I wasn't , I was in the right lane because my exit was coming up.

The worst part is he is probably on the road today , the next person might not be so lucky. Maybe one of the board's LEOs can explain.
