New guy on the block.
Hello everyone. I found this board searching for a local school.
My first formal martial art was Judokan and then Tang Soo Do. From there I went to a Song Mu kwan school Tae Kwon Do, then found a crew who practiced Arnis de Mano and Wing Chun. That was it. My next martial art was Colt 1911.
I avoid schools which are all for the tournament and base their prestige on the number of trophies. I am all about surviving violent conflicts which cannot be avoided, so lessons based on "rules" got me a broken nose, a skull fracture and a gimp leg. Life goes on. I have few facts and many opinions. I will be reading more than posting. Thank you.Approach with a calm resolve, attack with reckless indifference.
