New Riot Control Fence Makes Debut in the U.K.
Given what they went through over the summer in the U.K. with shops, cars and residencies burned, innocent bystanders murdered by thugs and police officers assaulted by rioters, shot at, and injured, can't say that I blame them for this.
Before this is over, we are probably going to need some of these in the U.S..

Wow, talk about "talk to the hand, not the face."
I realize you think you understand what you thought I said, but what I am not so sure about is whether what you think you heard is what I think I meant.

Given the destruction rioters caused over the summer in the U.K. and, also, that the "Occupy London" movement is likely to attract many of the same element who burned the city so recently - if only attracted by the lure of mayhem, not ideology - I don't blame the Police for sealing off streets. Heck, the article had a picture with a "protester" carrying a lighted flare. If I lived in London, and saw a young man with a hoodie and lighted torch headed my way, I'd be searching for things to use as weapons to protect my family, residency and business.

I wonder if anyone will roll some Molotov cocktails or even shoot flares under that foot or so of space under the fence. It seems like a vulnerability and the fence would also protect those rolling the Molotov cocktails and shooting. I wonder if they could attach a semi-malleable thick rubber drape to the bottom of the fence or something like that.
