Oguri Sensei passes away
I am sad to report that a few hours ago, Oguri sensei of the Bujinkan dojo passed away. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Oguri was my teacher in the Bujinkan. I trained with others, but the last few years in Japan he was the one I looked to and let guide me.
I owed him so much, and he will be missed.Guns don't kill people. Husbands that come home early kill people.

There are people who we become close to, by choice instead of through blood ties, that will always be a part of us. The relationships that develop through a shared interest (instead of just a shared profession, for example), can come to define us and how we see ourselves. Losing a person that is a mentor and a friend must be particularly hard. I feel for you Don. I imagine there are many fellow students who will be feeling the same way.

I am sorry to hear this Don. I know that he was probably more than just a sensei, but also like family.
My condolences to you, all of his student and the Bujinkan community.Robert M. Carver
