Thought many would find this interesting.
Very disappointing.

This man's actions will taint the many honest, sincere and truly inspiring teachers that will never get the opportunity to influence a generation. Parents will simply turn away from karate as a suitable activity for their child. This man who "dedicated his life to karate" has now, for many prospective students, killed it. I feel sorry for his students past, present and could-have-been future. He's been in custody since early last year.. good. Hope he gets to stay there a lot longer. Karate has suffered too many rogue instructors, it is too sad.

"A long time in prison" Well, Robert, I'm not too sure about that. This country's recent sentencing guidelines have resulted in a lot of disgruntled readers flooding the Newspapers with comments like "typical soft justice, in the US he'd never have seen the light of day" or "China has it right, execution before the week is out". People who write letters to Newspapers (it may not be truly representative, but it's a start), seem to deplore shorter sentences and fines/community service, preferring double figure jail terms for almost everything. It is one of those depressing situations where we'd like to banish the criminals but can't find anywhere to send them.

After more than a year in custody, with further charges being added and psychiatric reports being prepared, etc. Harry Cook has now been found guilty and sentenced to ... 10 years. See here.

Harry Cook jailed for 10 years - not long enough in my opinion.
This is a cancer, undermining all teaching and supervision of children - Sandusky, Cook, the Church. I just don't comprehend it. All I can do is express my sympathies to all those who's lives he has cast a shadow over. The direct victims, their families, his family, his former students, every one who read his word's and believed - Cook has betrayed us all.

Why, if the book is good keep it. Like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Just cover up the author data with duck tape

Understandable, I seem to vaguely remember it was somewhat iffy as to facts and content. - Charles J.
