Default Help, please. This is important.

It *appears* that my mom's hotmail account was hacked by none other than Mark O'Mara, defense attorney of George Zimmerman, or maybe there's another Mark O'Mara attorney in Orlando?

Sent messages to this Mark O'Mara lawyer were apparently surgically deleted, a draft to him that Mom moved to the inbox vanished, and she started receiving notifications from some of her email contacts that her account had been hacked.

Does anyone know how to get through Microsoft's bureaucracy to have these emails found and restored? Whom to contact? These emails are important for a legal case (and O'Mara has motivation to make them vanish in order to protect himself). This is a big deal.

    Thanks, everyone.
I realize you think you understand what you thought I said, but what I am not so sure about is whether what you think you heard is what I think I meant.

Homail hacks are super common and not that hard to do. Proving foul play can be difficult. Making an LE agency care enough to spend resources on a hacked e-mail account is hard.

Hotmail passes so much data that storing it all can be impossible. When I worked with AFOSI, and they had to subpoena a site like hotmail there were cases where the company did not have nor could they aquire the resources to save the data. It would be gone by the time a suboena was filed. Most of the time the companies had no intrest is being helpful either.

If this is as serious as you said, Jonathan's advice to contact the FBI or mabey local LE was probably the right advice 1 minute after it happened. The longer you wait the more likely the data will be gone.
