Unfortunately, no Darwin awards were issued to the thugs.

From that clip, see this one, where the robbers are far more experienced and seem to be ready to do what they want. The store clerks are just as ready and use compliance followed by seizing an opportunity to shoot back when the time is right.

Yes, I've seen that one as well. Very nice.

Great videos guys. The first clip had the bad guys with a rifle and sticking it in the shop owners face. Easy disarm if you get your wits about you. Rifles have a long barrel for a reason and getting close negates its advantage. The second clip was with two bad guys with hand guns. The fact that there was two of them was their advantage, but their pointing and extending the guys away from their body indicates a less experienced gun handler. The victims did the right thing, they waited for the right opportunity. If there had been only a a single robber, there would have been several opportunities to have fought back and disarmed the bad guys. Thankfully criminals don't attend weapons tactics and retention training, but get their gun knowledge from Hollywood.

I'm not knowledgable of gun tactics or handling. I would have been seeking clean underwear as soon as I could stop crying. For me, the gun close to my face would have had a very intimidating effect, perhaps more than a weapon held close to the attacker's body.
