Hello!
Greetings from the upper Midwest! My name is Darian Colgrove. I'm 14 years old and live in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I've been a member of my local ATA school for just over two years now and LOVE it! Taekwondo has been my life ever since I started training in 2010 and has opened my eyes to other martial arts as well. Eventually, I hope to start training in Aikido. I know I probably don't have as much training and experience as many of the people here, but I hope to learn what I can and provide my knowledge whenever possible.

Hi Darian
Greetings and welcome
You will find a lot of great information here in regards to Aikido. My advice to you is to spend some time reading past threads as there is a lot to consider when choosing an instructor.Elizabeth

Welcome to the Forum!
It is great to see someone so passionate over a discipline while young. That passion, perseverance and self-discipline will serve you well throughout your life.

Welcome! I took the same path you are; taekwondo as a starter art and then moved into aiki when I decided to become serious. You'll find tons of different stylists on this site.

Welcome.
You're 14? You're making me nostalgic for 1983-84. That's when I started martial arts with a judo class at the local YMCA. I thought I'd give it a year and see if I wanted to continue after I got a little skill. Nearly 30 years later, I'm living in Tokyo and still training and competing (in MMA and other fight sports now, not judo). You never know where a deep interest in the martial arts will lead you. Good luck.

It's nice to see another taekwondo person on budoseek, event though ATA taekwondo is not as similar to the WTF taekwondo I do as a person might think, since they are called the same thing.
Welcome.
