I'm a Dog of Water with a Leo twist at the end. ;-d Means I'm fiercely loyal, but somehow am both indecisive AND and good leader. Hmm...

Anyway...the story goes something like this from what I heard of it. Basically one day Buddha visited the animals, and told them all that he had a special treat for them. He was going to hold a large party with a feast on the next day, and that they were all invited. The animals were all happy about an invitation from the Buddha, but Buddha looked around, and noticed the cat wasn't there. He told the mouse to make sure to let the cat know about the party the next day, and the mouse agreed.

Now, basically the mouse was a bit of a trickster, and when it went to tell the cat about the party, the mouse said it was the day AFTER tommorow. The cat thanked the mouse, and the mouse went on his way. The next day, all the animals showed up to the party, except the cat, who spent the day sleeping, and dreaming of all of the wonderful things he was going to eat the next day at the party.

During the party, Buddha told the animals that he wanted to hold a race, so all of the animals lined up to race. Now the mouse knew that it couldn't win a race against all of the larger animals, so it ran up the ox's leg, and on top of it's head without it noticing. The race started, and the ox made it towards the lead, getting only a few inches to the finish line before the mouse jumped off of his head, winning the race. The Buddha then told the animals that he was going to make them into the 12 zodiacs, and the order they appear in was the same order that they won in the race.

From then on, the cat has hated the mouse because the mouse tricked him. That's about it I think....or at least the jist of it. I originally heard the story on an anime called Fruits Basket, which is about the zodiac...so I thought it was fake, but I had a japanese friend tell me half the story once, and I finished it for him, and have since heard other people say it was a real story. Or...real in the sense that it wasn't just made up for that anime. Anyway...that's about it. Occasionally I run into something I actually know.

You are Red Dragon, born in the year of Brown Chicken. The first character in DAY represents you. So you are equivalent to Fire. Lucky Element: Metal.
I'm an Aries/Ram (April 11, 1969), so I guess it all jives together.

    Peace

You are White Monkey, born in the year of Red Sheep. The upper character in DAY column represents the person. So you are equivalent to Male Metal. The symbols in the upper row of birth chart are called Heavenly Stems. The animals in the lower row in are called Earthly Branches.
    I don't know what this means . I am also a Virgo.

I was born a Pig but the only place I've read Pig's characteristics is on the menu of our fav Chinese restaurant and it is all light and airy and no hard stuff.

Pigs and karate - that's actually funny...most (domestic) pigs will turn aside from any barrier rather than try to smash thru it. I teach that the essence of karate is that it is the art of smashing thru!

I am a tiger with the essence of fire. Interesting though, just how accurate the tiger's traits mirror my own.
