Most traditional jujutsu styles have a what you would call "stick grappling" - many of the locks in jujutsu translate directly across to applications using a 3 ft stick.

True enough Andrew Green. But what I meant by close quarters in that particular post was a cramped/narrow space with possible obstructions. Such as a forest (for all those times we get attacked in a forest :P ), a crowd, a store of ming china hehe, etc...
