Hi, and welcome to BudoSeek. Please sign your real, full name to all your posts as required by BudoSeek rules. You can place it in your signature under the "User CP" settings so you don't have to bother typing it every time.

As a beginner always start with a single weave. They are the cheapest. If you find out you like it and want to compete then maybe invest in a gold weave or double weave for tournaments. I have to say though, after trying every type of gi made I always prefer to train in a single weave because of the light weight ad comfort. Gold weaves feel too rough to me and double weaves are like training in a quilt.

Get a good one like HCK, Atama, MKimonos, Koral, Mizuno, etc. and it will last for a long time. I have seen some HCK gis last for over five years of heavy use.
