bamboo
i was curious as to if anyone has used bamboo to harden their shins? i am growing my own bamboo and drying it out. i was wondering if anyone could tell me the technique for using it to harden the shins.

Dunno about shins, but sensei uses it to whack us on the head and shoulders when we mess up forms.

ouch!, my sensei does that to. I get black and blue stripes going up my legs from it lol. I look like a zebra

I wouldnt bother with the whole "kickboxer" shin conditioning thing...you should get plenty of shin on shin conditioning just from your sparring in the dojang. I can't think of a day that has gone by that I didnt have some sort of bruise on my shins or forearms from class. Just my experience! peace
