John Kerry Vs GW Bush in the ring. Who'd win?
Just out of curiosity.
If you could have a kickboxing fight between Kerry and Bush - who do you think will win?
That would be interesting to see don't you think?

How many of these "who would win" are going to pop up. They're just getting silly.

If he gets hit in the chin, it'll be a killer.

Bush would win because of his fighting spirit. Kerry on the other hand would be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for participating in such a dangerous mission.

I think Kerry would win because Bush would get confused, think he was doing BJJ and immediately go to Guard.

Actually, Kerry would willingly step into the ring, fight for two rounds, throw in the towel early, and then go on ESPN and talk about how evil boxing and boxers are.

people power
We are the people of America!
America is supposed to be run by the people!
The ballot stuff last election was messed up!
So, lets make it easy this election. Instead of having an "election", lets literally put Bush and Kerry in a ring together and the last man standing wins!
Just an idea...James O. Maxwell

Well, gosh...
Kerry fought in Vietnam. Like him or not, he showed up and he fought. He also started off poor and made it this far. Like his methods or not, he went from little to big.
Bush kept his hands clean flying in the Guard and Daddy paid for and bought his way through his edumacation.
So, based upon character, I think Kerry would rip out Bush's throat.I realize you think you understand what you thought I said, but what I am not so sure about is whether what you think you heard is what I think I meant.

Liberals aren't supposed to rip people's throats out.

But I still think he'd win... Kerry's a scrapper. Bush's daddy was a man, Shrub is not.

But win or not, I'm sure he'd managed to get some sort of medal for it - maybe even the CMH? Or the Vatican Order of Such-and-Such of Saint So-and-So? I'm sure he'd weasel his way to public recognition, fame and glory like a good slimy little politician.Last edited by Erik; 09-22-2004 at 12:46.

Kerry is a scrapper?? WTF? Kerry is a little momma's boy who was born into riches, and waited around and found a sugar mommy to take care of him, and then found a BIGGER sugar mommy in Theresa. You can'r convince me of any puglism from someone who licked Dukakis' boots.
Bush works his ranch, and while Governor, signed the orders to put people to death. Kerry wouldn't stand a chance

I'm with Cliff - Bush defeated by armbar in round one.

I think you mis-understood him, Erik. None-the-less, I'm not sure if either one has any fighting background. I know Vlad Putin, You know, the President of Russia, does some Judo.
Cheney would be a good WWF-style manager. Maybe slide Bush some enormous belt buckle to smash over Kerry's head. By that same token, I guess Edwards would be too. He'd be the Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart to Cheney's Bobby Hennon. (Sorry, about the obscure references. I guess I'm showing my age.)
And while Kerry obviously went through basic, Dubya does have that male cheerleader thing going for him. You know male cheerleaders kick ***.
Speaking of which, how many of you hard-hitting Southerners would jump off the nearest barn if your son came home and told you that while he wouldn't be on the field, Friday night, he and his "buddies" would be doing a mean pyramid at halftime?
Do some soul-searching and get back with me.
Can't honestly predict either way. I would fork over the fifty bucks for the pay-per-view, though.

I think it's hilarious that this came up because I have just been talking with some friends about how the election should be settled via steel-cage match.
Naturally, Bush has the whole Texan thing going for him, but Kerry's got that reach, and something tells me he could whoop a little ***. You gotta watch out for those unassuming looking guys. Plus, we all know that skinny guys fight 'til they're burger.-Michael Luebbers
