Frustration
To my Hapkido Brothers and Sisters
Several years ago when I had problem with a certain individual I asked for advise from my Master his solution to the problem was slightly different than mine.
He simply "Stated" To argue with a person that has no respect for anyone but himself is wrong. By arguing you do not stoop to his level you rise him to yours By giving any thought or consideration or an audience.
I acted in frustration do to the fact I was left to pick up the pieces before and try to make the wrongs right, Those that Know me know what I do behind the scenes without glamor or looking for a pat on the Back.
For those that wish or those taht care i would be glad to show you any of my certification to you when you come and visit me. i am not making any outrageous claims nor do I care what certain individuals think.
I am my own man, And I apologies for my outburst it Was unprofessional and i will not let him rise to my" level".

Master Whalen,
I think that it is perfectly natural to feel frustration. At the same time, we must look upon negative events as another facet to our training. This is something I myself am struggling with. Soemtimes, I feel like great day to train, but then there are many others that I feel like why bother after everything that has happened. In time things will sort themselves out and we move forward. There is much you have to offer. Remember that as a senior there are many who look up to you. To be honest, you kept going after everything. I hope that in time my path becomes clearer so that I myself can do the same.Frank Clay

no quitting
The one thing that I am proud of with my long affiliation and friendship with Master Whalen and all of the guys he has trained is there is one common thread that runs through all the training and people,, that is--- if you are one of us you don't quit... you don't ever quit....you will never quit....times change and people move to different places and do different things but still.. none of these folks are quitters... Mike McCarty, Rick Williamson, Jan, Maureen, Timmy, Big John, Ray Prince, and many many more.. we just don't quit... and that is like the glue that binds all of us old moo ye kwan, Master Whalen minions.. I never trust a quitter.. Hapki brother..

Mike,
You are right. I am working through my feelings, and issues, as best as I can. Master Whalen and Master Lim have been very supportive. LOL. I suspect that neither of them would let me quit if I wanted to
At any rate, very shortly I will have the chance to taste of Master whalen's Hapkido. I have heard very good things about it and am looking forward to it.Frank Clay

Sorry!
I was away this weekend on a seminar, and I understand more problems arose... sorry to hear that. I have no idea what happened, but I can only hope that Hal will carry on on the forum. Let's leave the politics to the politicians, and let the rest of us just practice our arts.
Sincerely,
Rudy W. Timmerman
