Default Grandma's Katana and book withdrawn

You will be happy to know that my Katana did not sell and I am withdrawing it from consignment and taking it off the market. I never lied to any of you or tried to deceive anyone.

I also had an original string bound edition of the US Army Intelligence manual TM-E 30-480 "Handbook on Japanese Military Forces" in very fine condition. The narrow distribution list is inside. Not very many original copies of this "restricted" manual survive. Cover is embossed 15 September 1944
    First page says:
    War Department 1 October 1944

It is chock full of photos and everything our intelligence people knew about the equipment, tactics, organization and inner workings of the Japanese military.
This photo is NOT my book, but a photo of one exactly like mine.

Looks to be a very interesting book. As it appears that you are trying to sell it, I'm moving this thread to the "buy, sell, and trade" section.

I would think that you would also be happy that no one bought your sword, Mrs. Fisher. It seemed like that sword meant a lot to you.

Actually, It does mean a lot to me, I did put in months polishing it while I sit with my sick husband. And I am rather glad it did not sell. I am quite proud of it. I watched it change. It actually looks pretty damned good, and it will look even better when I am done with it. I don't need the money, but thought someone else more "into" swords than I was before I stumbled across it laying in the grass at the neighbors yard sale ought to have it. But it turned out I valued it more than anyone else.

The book is an absolute treasure trove of WW2 Japanese military history and information of every sort. I am asking $100 for it because it is NOT a reprint, but one of the few remaining genuine original WW2 editions left.

If anyone interested wants to see the chapters and read a few excerpts from the book:
